Gabriel Liguori, TissueLabs founder, was interviewed by and featured in FAPESP's Revista Pesquisa. He told Pesquisa how he is overcoming challenges and leading the way on 3D bioprinting human tissues and organs in the lab.
During college, he has always been very interested in cardiovascular surgery. He has always been connected to this field, because he was born with a congenital cardiomyopathy. At the age of 2, he had to undergo surgery for the first time at InCor, Instituto do Coração (or Heart Institute in English), and since then he's always been a patient.
